Integral Training

Principles in Motion - Module 1

The foundation of Integral Movement begins with a deep understanding of the myofascial system and the biotensegral forces that create efficient and adaptable movement in any fitness modality

April 6 & 7

Integral Stretch - Module 2

Fascia as the fabric of our human architecture doesn’t stretch the way we had once thought. This module focuses on mobility and how to use the model of biotensegrity to improve results with a shifted perspective and a new approach

May 25 & 26

Integral Strength - Module 3

As we become more familiar with force transmission, this model focuses on the transitory nature of motion and how multidimensional movement can create efficiency in movement without breaking down the fascial matrix

June 8 & 9

What is Integral Movement?

Integral Movement was specifically developed by Lisa Babiuk from over three decades of movement and education and experience. This system is developed from cutting edge, living tensegrity science, including hands-on experience in the dissection lab with human cadavers, and shared knowledge with an alliance with leading subject matter experts in fascia and living tensegrity  science from across the world.
In simpler terms, Integral Movement challenges the status quo on how we care for our bodies, increases performance and reduces and even eliminates chronic pain through PROPER movement.

Classes

We offer Integral Strength, Integral Stretch and Integral Mind classes on our drop in schedule, addressing all areas that can impact movement to give vibrancy and resiliency; move well, live well.

One on One Sessions

After working with so many people, even “healthy” people, Lisa has seen enough fads and “expert” opinions that resulted in only short term gains, or even worse, potentially long lasting damaging effects to the body.  From this Lisa discovered a better way, and it starts with a whole body movement approach. For example, your sore shoulder, bad back or tight hips may be a result of an impairment in another area of the body.
This is a remedy, corrective action or progressive movement (however you would call it), you have never experienced before.
Who can benefit from this?
  • If you are impacted by pain, from mild to debilitating, in your daily routine or while exercising.
  • Elite athletes wanting to take their performance to the next level or for injury prevention and rehabilitation.
  • Seniors look to maintain mobility and resiliency to continue to enjoy daily activities
  • Individuals tired of spending wasted. money on current physical therapy or personal training only to get short term results.

How does the program work?

Committing to a regular schedule around your wellness will lead to better results. Our sessions require a weekly/biweekly commitment for a sustained period. There is no quick fix (that is why fads come and go). Your time is valuable to you, and this approach will ensure your time invested in this program will get you the most out of this for your health.

What can you expect?

  • A complete initial assessment and recommendations with no obligation to continue.
  • Weekly or biweekly sessions that follow the process of building structural integrity through the whole body.
  • A different experience each session. What you need from week to week will change because we are remodeling tissue that becomes very efficient through multi-dimensional movement.
  • Notes from each session with “homework” for consistency.
  • A complimentary membership for drop-in classes (Integral branded classes only) on our schedule during our training agreement.
  • Education! You will learn more about your body from experience in movement so that you can apply the concepts to any modality you engage in.  Eventually you will not need us any more.
