Beginner Yoga Sampler Cost: $110.00 GST for 8 weeks

April 6 - June 8 (No class April 20 and May 18)
Even though yoga is for everyone, finding the right practice for you is important. Learn the foundation of yoga practices in 8 different styles of yoga: Hatha, Flow, Yin, Restorative, Karuna, Suspension, Restorative and Meditation that brings YOUR body and mind back into balance. Assisted throughout with modifications and props, this program is for anyone that is interested in exploring different styles of yoga.

Enjoy the end of your week with a date night! Let a bit of philosophy guide your way through each of the six unique yoga classes. Learn a bit about yourself, learn a bit about your partner or just come and enjoy some postures.

Prenatal Yoga Cost: $110.00 GST for 8 weeks

As a gentle practice especially designed to nurture expectant mothers, this program will assist to add support to the body during pregnancy with strengthening and releasing postures and soothing meditation to complete the practice. Studies have suggested that prenatal yoga can; improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, increase strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth.

This is a class for kids that want to “hang” out in our aerial silk fabric hammocks. Using the hammock as a prop for our yoga postures this class brings a whole new element to the word fun. We complete the practice with a short mindfulness practice wrapped up in a cocoon. Peace

Using aerial silk hammocks come and have some serious fun in yoga poses that strengthen stretch and then…hang upside down! Class always ends with a peaceful yoga nap.

ERYT-500, Holy Fire III Karuna Reiki Master
With 30 years of teaching experience, Lisa holds an E-RYT 500 certification and is the primary teacher of the Soul Fitness Mind Body Studios 200 and 500 hour Yoga Teachers Training program. With a special interest in myofascia and biotensegrity of the human body, she is the creator of Karuna Yoga and Integral Movement Systems. Lisa is also a Holy Fire II Karuna Reiki Master and offers Reiki certifications courses and treatments in our healing room.
As the owner of Soul Fitness Mind Body Studios, her intention is to create a beautiful space and experience; just for you.
Harry has been practicing yoga since 1999, receiving his 200 Hour Teacher Training certificate in 2009 and has been teaching ever since. He has completed his 500 Hour Teacher Training through Soul Fitness in September of 2018. He has also taken the first 60 hrs. of the Purna Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training Program as well as completing the Thrive Yoga Teacher Training for people with a cancer diagnosis. He has enjoyed learning in a variety of workshops from teachers such as Friedel Khattab, Aadil Palkhivala, Savitri, Seane Corn and Kia Miller to name a few.
Harry enjoys teaching a variety of classes and is alignment oriented in his instruction, encouraging students to explore the postures for themselves, not to create the perfect pose. Harry loves to keep the atmosphere light and to laugh and enjoy the experience of practicing yoga. He truly enjoys introducing yoga to beginners and watching them grow in their practice. He is grateful to be able to share his passion and knowledge with all of his students.
JoAnne graduated from the U of A with a Bachelor of Physical Education in Fitness and Health Promotion in 1993. She has worked in the health and fitness industry for 27 years, including 17 years working in injury rehabilitation at Worker’s Compensation Board.
Knowing that there was some missing links in the regular fitness & rehabilitation world, JoAnne dove into mind-body work, first with Pilates (mat and equipment) and then in 2008 to yoga. Since then, she has completed many trainings including yin yoga, vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga, trauma sensitive yoga and most recently yoga therapy. JoAnne is an E-RYT 500 hr yoga teacher. JoAnne believes in making her yoga classes accessible for EveryBODY.

Jill’s love affair with yoga began in England where she first learned the art of surrender and the beauty of being present in the moment. Awestruck by her experience of the powers of the breath and its potency in childbirth, Jill began to envisage herself passing on the secrets of a sweet prenatal practice. She completed her 200-hr yoga teacher training with Atlas Yoga Studio in 2013 and achieved her certification as a birth doula with DONA International in 2016. She has had the honour of serving many expectant mothers as they prepare for their births and welcome their babies earthside.
Jill leads a prenatal yoga practice that supports and guides women as they prepare for their own passage into motherhood, helping them to feel comfortable and confident in their ever changing bodies and to feel empowered to move through their labour using breath and postures to remain relaxed and in control. Her contagious smile and empathetic heart bring comfort to her students and her calming character radiates throughout every class that she teaches.
Navid acquired his 200 RYT training at Soul Fitness Mind Body Studios. His journey with Yoga began in 2010 primarily for the physical benefits of increased mobility, stability and strength. As his practiced evolved he began to take notice of the mental, emotional and energetic benefits the practice offered in his everyday life.
Navid is honoured and grateful for the opportunity to share his love for yoga with others. He believes that yoga is for everyone and encourages his students to approach their practice with mindfulness, curiosity and compassion."
Claire completed the 200-hour certification through the Soul Fitness Mind Body Studios Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training program in 2015.
From her experience working in the health care system as a nurse, Claire recognizes the healing benefits of yoga and harnesses this by creating a calm and peaceful space to bring deeper awareness through the practice of yoga. By understanding that every student is created uniquely Claire offers support and modifications to all her students regardless of their experience with yoga.
Becky is a diverse and compassionate yoga teacher, who has been practicing yoga for the past 4 years. She is a 200-hour certified teacher through Empowered Yoga and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. Becky has obtained additional training to lead meditation, Yoga for Trauma (PTSD) and Yin Yoga; she also teaches yoga to individuals with depression & anxiety.
Becky is a student of life, who loves learning and improving; she regularly attends teacher trainings and workshops, where she gathers knowledge and inspiration for her classes. Becky's classes offer unique transitions & sequencing, with a focus on alignment and inner-strength, to keep your practices fresh and challenging.
When she is not on her mat, Becky loves the great outdoors and camping. She is also an Ultimate Frisbee enthusiast, an artist, and a photographer. Becky has 2 great kids, who inspire her daily to have fun and not take herself too seriously!
Katherine offers a dynamic and playful flow with focus on breath and alignment. She is inspired by both traditional and modern styles and seamlessly incorporates both into her teachings.
Since her initial RYT training she has acquired over 2000 hours of teaching experience earning her a designation of E-RYT 200. Katherine regularly attends teacher trainings and workshops to continue to grow in her personal practice and be inspired with what she shares in her classes. She provides an inviting and supportive environment for her students to be challenged, explore and grow.

Gillian has practiced yoga for over 15 years and has taught since 2013. Having had the opportunity to observe all types of body shapes within a medical setting in her past careers, Gillian has a unique perspective in regards to functional movements and modifying traditional yoga poses for practical application. Her university level background in Anatomy and Biomechanics has led her to dig more deeply into the traditional yoga asanas in order to create a more sustainable personal practice for each of her individual students and their needs.

Annelise began practicing yoga with her mom which lead her to take a yoga option course in high school. While working at Soul Fitness Mind Body Studios as a receptionist, she took her 200 hour yoga teacher training. Annelise teaches Suspension Yoga for both adults and kids and is one of the instructor for the Suspension Yoga Teacher Training program at Soul Fitness. Her experience in classes like Gentle Flow and Yin Yoga offer students an opportunity to engage deeper in their practice.
