Harry has been practicing yoga since 1999 and received his 200 Hour Teacher Training certificate in 2009. He has enjoyed learning from teachers such as Friedel Khattab, Aadil Palkhivala, Savitri, Sean Corn and Kia Miller. Harry is currently deepening his knowledge and practice of yoga and is taking Purna Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training and Soul Fitness Mind Body Studios 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program.
Harry teaches a variety of classes, and is alignment-based in his instruction from a direction of safety. This enables his students to engage in the experience and go beyond the idea of “the perfect pose”. He truly enjoys introducing yoga to beginners and watching them grow in their practice.
With 30 years of teaching experience, Lisa holds an E-RYT 500 certification and is the primary teacher of the Soul Fitness Mind Body Studios 200 and 500 hour Yoga Teachers Training program. She is a member of the Standards Advisory Committee for the Yoga Alliance which provides oversight to the overall credentialing system for yoga teachers and schools. Lisa is also a Holy Fire II Karuna Reiki Master and offers Reiki certifications courses and treatments in our healing room.
As the owner of Soul Fitness Mind Body Studios, her intention is to create a beautiful space and experience; just for you.
When Lisa s not at the studio she is enjoying some of life's pleasures with her husband and their two boys. She enjoys cookin and reading.
Bonnie creates a peaceful, mindful atmosphere in her classes by working closely with each student to help them align their body, work with their breath and practice at their own level.
With the emphasis on alignment in the physical postures, wellness of mind, body and spirit were the reasons Bonnie started yoga over 25 years ago and although her practice has undergone some changes, the reasons have not.
JoAnne graduated from the U of A with a Bachelor of Physical Education in Fitness and Health Promotion in 1993. She has worked in the health and fitness industry for 27 years, including 17 years working in injury rehabilitation at Worker’s Compensation Board.
Knowing that there was some missing links in the regular fitness & rehabilitation world, JoAnne dove into mind-body work, first with Pilates (mat and equipment) and then in 2008 to yoga. Since then, she has completed many trainings including yin yoga, vinyasa yoga, restorative yoga, trauma sensitive yoga and most recently yoga therapy. JoAnne is an E-RYT 500 hr yoga teacher. JoAnne believes in making her yoga classes accessible for EveryBODY.
Claire completed the 200-hour certification through the Soul Fitness Mind Body Studios Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training program in 2015.
From her experience working in the health care system as a nurse, Claire recognizes the healing benefits of yoga and harnesses this by creating a calm and peaceful space to bring deeper awareness through the practice of yoga. By understanding that every student is created uniquely Claire offers support and modifications to all her students regardless of their experience with yoga.
Becky is a diverse and compassionate yoga teacher, who has been practicing yoga for the past 4 years. She is a 200-hour certified teacher through Empowered Yoga and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. Becky has obtained additional training to lead meditation, Yoga for Trauma (PTSD) and Yin Yoga; she also teaches yoga to individuals with depression & anxiety.
Becky is a student of life, who loves learning and improving; she regularly attends teacher trainings and workshops, where she gathers knowledge and inspiration for her classes. Becky's classes offer unique transitions & sequencing, with a focus on alignment and inner-strength, to keep your practices fresh and challenging.
When she is not on her mat, Becky loves the great outdoors and camping. She is also an Ultimate Frisbee enthusiast, an artist, and a photographer. Becky has 2 great kids, who inspire her daily to have fun and not take herself too seriously!
Jaclyn completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2011 followed shortly after by her prenatal teacher training in 2012. She is also a registered massage therapist and birth doula who uses her deep understanding of human anatomy to bring an emphasis to body alignment and awareness in her classes.
Jaclyn is a passionate instructor who believes in making yoga accessible to students of all levels and abilities.
Katherine offers a dynamic and playful flow with focus on breath and alignment. She is inspired by both traditional and modern styles and seamlessly incorporates both into her teachings.
Since her initial RYT training she has acquired over 2000 hours of teaching experience earning her a designation of E-RYT 200. Katherine regularly attends teacher trainings and workshops to continue to grow in her personal practice and be inspired with what she shares in her classes. She provides an inviting and supportive environment for her students to be challenged, explore and grow.
Kim is a passionate instructor that has been practicing yoga for the past eight years. She received her 200 hour Vinyasa training through Uttara Vidya at Yoga Life Studios' in 2014, and her Yin certification through Carly Forest in the Spring of 2015. She is certified through the Canadian Yoga Alliance and attends workshops and conferences regularly to enhance her learning.
Kim is a diverse teacher that also teaches Elementary School half time and runs a weekly yoga club for kids. She is passionate about Yoga and the benefits that it brings the body, mind and soul. With an interest in the subtle body and Ayurveda; Kim's classes are themed on the bodies energy centers and lines of awareness. When she is not teaching she loves to spend her time outdoors, enjoying live music, and traveling whenever she can.
Christy’s yoga experience began on purely the physical exercise aspect, only to grow and shift over years into a healing and spiritual journey.
Christy received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certification from Soul Fitness Mind Body Studios in 2013 and this is where you will find her leading students on their own yoga path. She has deep love for all types of yoga but really enjoys teaching in a hot studio.
When she is not on her mat, you can find Christy outside with her dogs. Traveling to parts of the world is one of Christy’s passions where she likes to be a part of the local culture and connect with people where ever she goes.
